Village December 2017 Minutes

December 13, 2017

Present: Maksimchuk’s, Tate, L. Olk, P. Olk, Burns, Gauthier Absent: Wolford, Seamon

Meeting called to order by Mayor, Jerry Burns at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by L. Olk to accept the minutes, motion carried.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by L. Olk to accept Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Presentation was made to long time Village Attorney, Charles McKone after serving the Village for 43 years, he has retired and will be missed by our Village Council and our citizens.

Deb Collins was present for update on property next to hers.

Treasurer Terry Tate discussed with council closing our account at Huntington and take the monies and putting it into a 16-month CD.
Consensus of council was to go ahead.

Checking for funding for sewer project, still waiting on Chemical bank rates. Will compare to Community Bank and USDA rates.

Consensus of council was for Police Chief to spec out new Police car and Police Commissioner and Police Chief will attend next DDA meeting for possible help with funding.

DPW and Zoning Reports are on file.

Motion by P. Olk, support by L. Olk to adopt Ordinance #119 which adopts the 2015 edition of the International property maintenance code regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all properties, buildings, and structures.

Roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by P. Olk to accept the resolution allowing Sunday liquor sales from 7:00 a.m. to noon, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Income Survey application has been completed and mailed into the State.

Motion by Gauthier, support by P. Olk to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
