Village May 2019 Minutes

May 8, 2019

Present: Maksimchuk’s, Tate, Ustishen, L. Olk, P. Olk, S.
Birchmeier, Gauthier Absent: Seamon
Meeting called to order by Mayor John Maksimchuk at 7:00 p.m.
with the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion by Ustishen, support by L.
Olk to accept the minutes, motion carried. Motion by P. Olk,
support by S. Birchmeier to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion
carried.
Public Comments: Bill Swain addressed council about safety
concerns with an ungated swimming pool. Clerk will contact
zoning administrator to look at it.
DPW and Zoning reports are on file.
No Police Report
Motion by S. Birchmeier, support by P. Olk to hire Andy Hobson
for the DPW on an “As Need Basis” with no regular number of
hours per day/week at a rate of $13 per hour, discussion, roll call
vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Gauthier, support by P. Olk that we finance the sewer
project for $600,000 through State Bank in New Lothrop for a 20-
year loan at a rate of 3.5% with semi-annual payments discussion
roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by J. Maksimchuk, support by S. Birchmeier to appoint Dr.
Robin Ballard to fill the vacancy on DDA left by Chuck Yaklin, roll
call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by S. Birchmeier, support by Ustishen to allow the DDA to
construct a pavilion, fence and trees on Village lot, discussion,
motion carried.

Motion by L. Olk to pay all the bills, support by S. Birchmeier to
pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Declare meeting adjourned at 8:21 p.m.
