February Village 2024 Minutes

February 14, 2024

Present:  McCormic, Maksimchuk, Tate, Gauthier,  Birchmeier, Olk, Absent:  Ustishen, Seamon

Meeting called to order by Mayor McCormic with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m.  Motion by Olk, support by Birchmeier, to approve the minutes, motion carried.  Motion by Olk, supported by Mills to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.  Motion by Birchmeier, support by Olk to approve the 11 mills for the Truth in Taxation hearing, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.  Motion by Olk, support by Birchmeier to accept the 2024-25 proposed budgets, discussion, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Police, DPW, DDA and Zoning reports on file.

Motion by Birchmeier, support by Gauthier to raise Treasurer’s wages $100.00, from $600 to $700 monthly, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Birchmeier, support by Olk to get DPW employee, Andy Hobson enrolled in a CDL program, with a 2 year employment commitment with the Village who will pay for the class.  Discussion, roll call vote, motion carried.

Motion by Olk, support by Mills to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
