January DDA 2025 Minutes

January 16, 2025 – DDA Minutes New Lothrop

Members present: Pete Stewart, Taylor Copes, Cindy Kinsey, Tammy Schiefer, Jody Greenwood, Andrew Wolford.      Absent: Mark Birchmeier, Dave Schnell, Kayla McCormic                                                                                   Meeting started at 6:31 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

1. Taylor made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for December. Second by Andy. Row call vote, unanimous. Motion carried.
2. No Treasurer’s Report-Treasurer is absent.
3. Special Guest & Comments:  Terry Tate, Becky Naessens, Stan Birchmeier – asking if the DDA is interested in bringing the New Lothrop Car Show back this summer in July. They would like to be in charge, however, will need to have several volunteers to make it happen and be successful.
4. Old Business:  Flowers were ordered, and the colors will be pink & fuchsia. We will be using the same company for the Christmas decorations in town but will be snowflakes.   
5. New Business: Andy suggested changing the meeting day from the 3^rd Thursday to the 3^rd Wednesday. Tabled, this will be voted on at next month’s meeting when we have a full board.
6. No Invoices – Treasurer is absent.
7. Budget for 2025 – Waiting for TIF Calculations for 2025 and Treasurer reports to figure in the new budget. This will be discussed at next month’s meeting.
