COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
November 20,2024
Tate, Maksimchuk, Ustishen, Olk, Gauthier
Deputy Clerk Holly Ustishen swore in newly elected clerk, Karen Maksimchuk.
Clerk Maksimchuk called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m. Clerk swore in newly elected council members, Laura Olk, Terry Tate, John Maksimchuk, Zach Besaw.
Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to appoint Andy Wolford as Village President, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried. Clerk swore in newly appointed President Wolford
Motion by Wolford, support by Besaw to appoint Besaw to sewer commissioner, Maksimchuk to street commissioner, and Olk as Police Commissioner, motion carried.
Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to approve the minutes, motion carried.
Motion by Ustishen, support by Olk to approve the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.
Public Comments, Cindy Kinsey, DDA member was present to ask Council to close streets for Holly Jolly Eve. Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Olk to close off Main Street and side streets on December 6th for Holly Jolly Eve, motion carried.
Police, DPW, Zoning, and DDA reports on file.
Motion by Wolford, support by Olk to approve Jim Delaney to take over Zoning/Building for retiring administrator, Bob Delaney who did a great service for the Village, discussion same salary, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Besaw, support by Ustishen to purchase the 2025 Ford truck through the Ford leasing/purchase program, Village President will ask DDA to split the purchase,roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried. Declare Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
