Village August 2019 Minutes

August 14, 2019

Present: Maksimchuk’s, Tate, Seamon, Ustishen, L. Olk, Gauthier, Besaw. Absent: S. Birchmeier

Meeting called to order by Mayor John Maksimchuk at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of allegiance. Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to accept the minutes, motion carried.

Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to accept the the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Car Show went well, thank you to all volunteers.

Would like to show on record a phone vote was taken by the Village Clerk on August 9, 2019 to cash in 2 CD’s from the sewer department for a total of $221,031.82. All yeas were recorded from, Maksimchuk, Ustishen, Olk, Gauthier, Seamon, & Besaw. S. Birchmeier voted on August 12, 2019 as he was unavailable on the 9th , and also voted yes. Motion carried.

Police, DPW and Zoning Reports are on file.

Discussed Cul de sac in August Meadows and their drainage problems. Catch Basins will have to be repaired and another installed, rough estimate $5,000.00.

Steve Rutkowski, Spicer Engineering was present to discuss and update council Sewer Project.

Sara Talbot with AHP accounting firm was present to go over Village audit report.

Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to accept the audit as presented, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Discussed repaving of August Meadows and DDA president has received a quote.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Seamon to have Andy Hobson read the water meters every quarter for $200 each time.

Income surveys have been mailed to Lake Superior State College.

Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
