Village July 2017 Minutes

Meeting called to order by Mayor Jerry Burns at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion by P. Olk, support by Gauthier to
accept the minutes, motion carried.
Motion by P. Olk, support by L. Olk to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.
Motion by P. Olk, support by Gauthier to approve the Fire Department and Hazelton Township to tear down the old fire dept. building and renovate the fire hall, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Deb Collins was present to ask about burned out property next to her house. Attorney responded and answered.
Motion by P. Olk, support by Gauthier to allow DDA to shut down all of Main Street (Genesee) and Orchard Street to the Alley and Cherry Street to Butternut, for the Car show, motion carried
Motion by Jerry Burns, support by Gauthier to appoint James Lahmann to DDA, replacing Emily Moore, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Police, DPW and Zoning Reports on file.
Motion by Burns, support by P. Olk to accept Ordinance #117 the Consumers Energy Electric Franchise Ordinance, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Burns, support by P. Olk to pay $317.00 to Bob Delaney, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Backflow problem discussed at 10054 Genesee/Easton. Another letter will be sent with a 15 day notice that water service will be
shut off if not fixed.
Motion by P. Olk, support by Gauthier to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Burns, support by L. Olk to allow DDA to amend their budget by increasing downtown beautification to $78,000 and decreasing water filtration plant principal payment to $10,000, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Commission reports given and Memorial sign for long time Council Member Larry Collins will be paid for by Village Attorney.
Motion by P. Olk, support by Gauthier to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
