Village June 2016 Minutes

June 8, 2016

Present: Gauthier, Seamon, Olk, Beauchamp, Wolford, Burns, Tate, Poletti
Absent: Maksimchuk

Meeting called to order by Mayor Burns with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m. Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to accept the minutes, motion carried. There was some discussion as to accepting bid from Dawes for Glenn property; our DPW is going to try the repairs first.

Motion by Gauthier, support by Beauchamp to accept the Treasurer’s report, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Holly Ustishen was present from DDA to ask for closing of the streets for car show. Motion by Olk, support by Beauchamp to close, Orchard Street to the Alley and Orchard to Butternut, and Cherry Street to Genesee to the Alley, motion carried.

Police, DPW & Zoning Reports on file.

Motion by Olk, support by Beauchamp to allow $39,469.18, to be taken from General Fund and moved to 2 different CD’s at Community State Bank.
**These were 2 water department CD’s that were due to be renewed at First Merit Bank and the Water Commissioner chose to have them be moved to Community State Bank.

The amount of $39,469.18 was placed in the General Fund as the Water CD’s were expired and cashed in.

Roll Call Vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Trustees, Olk and Gauthier will sit on Committee to interview part-time DPW employee.

Tabled until next meeting, Village Treasurer requested to charge a fee for all tax, water and sewer information requests.

Motion by Gauthier, support by Wolford to sign a one month extension with Jamie Bruff who is the listing agent for our vacant lots that are up for sale.

Roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Zoning Reports discussed and the lack of information given to Council on these reports.

Council Member, Pat Olk will get with Rob Kehoe.

Motion by Wolford, support by Olk to purchase the (Old Confer Building) property in the Village of New Lothrop, S 124’ Lot 7 Blk 6, Parcel # 004-60- 006-007 for $5,709.64,

subject to DDA approval to finance the purchase of the property and to agree to take the necessary steps to demolish and make the property safe, Roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Olk, support by Beauchamp to pay all the bills excluding Rob Kehoe’s for the month of May, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
