Village March 2016 Minutes
March 9, 2016
Present: Maksimchuk’s, Tate, Seamon, Beauchamp, Gauthier, Kehoe, Wolford
Absent: Burns, Olk
Meeting called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem, John Maksimchuk at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge Of Allegiance. Motion by Gauthier, support by Beauchamp to accept the minutes, motion carried.
Motion by Beauchamp, support by Seamon to accept the Treasurer’s Report, motion carried. Norbert Emmendorfer was present to inquire who made the motion to discontinue his services. Pete Stewart asked about concerns with snow removal.
Closed the regular council meeting at 7:08 p.m. and opened the Zoning Board of Appeals at 7:09 p.m. Motion by Seamon, support by Gauthier to grant Marilyn Thiel a Variance from section 5.9, schedule of regulation, frontage. A Variance of 59 feet from the required frontage of 125 feet to allow 68 foot wide entrance to an existing house on the rear of the property. Discussion, Roll Call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Zoning Board of appeals adjourned at 7:13 p.m. and reopened regular council meeting at 7:14 p.m.
Police and DPW Reports on file. Discussed current equipment obtained through Federal surplus program. Would like an updated list from Police Chief at next meeting. Motion by Wolford, support by Seamon to accept the following equipment, Bobcat 643, Skid Steer with 2 buckets, Ford 55A backhoe with a Western snow plow, and a yellow fire proof cabinet, discussion, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Gauthier to increase DPW Employee, Andy Hobson to 30 hours per week and a $1.00 per hour increase, discussion, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
A formal letter of request will be given to the DDA in regards to matching the School’s $12,000 for additional daytime patrol.
Council thanked Al, Tim, and Andy for their snow plowing efforts.
Motion by Wolford, support by Gauthier to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
