Village March 2022 Minutes

March 9, 2022

Present:  Maksimchuk’s, Tate, Seamon, Besaw, Gauthier

Absent:   Olk, Birchmeier

Motion by Besaw, support by Ustishen to accept the meeting minutes and special meeting minutes, motion carried.

Motion by Seamon, support by Besaw to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.  Motion by Seamon, support by Besaw to amend the 2021-22 Major street sidewalk budget an increase of $1,900, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.  Motion by Seamon, support by Ustishen to amend the 2021-22 Local street sidewalk budget an increase of $5,000, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Public Comments

Dave Schnell was present to ask about possible DDA projects such as a Welcome sign, additional lighting for Main Street from Larry Schnells to high school driveway, village barn updates and new barricades and cones.  Council was receptive to have DDA get pricing on all of the above.

Police, DPW and Zoning Reports on file.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Besaw to order the replacement water meters and equipment at a cost estimate of $6,500, discussion roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.  

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Ustishen to have Artesian of Pioneer do the water valve and media replacement, discussion, roll call vote all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Besaw, support by Gauthier to increase Andy Hobson’s wages to $16 per hour, discussion, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Gauthier, support by Besaw to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
