Village May 2022 Minutes

May 11, 2022

Present:  Maksimchuk’s Seamon, Tate, Birchmeier, Ustishen, Olk, Gauthier, Absent:  Besaw

Meeting called to order by Mayor John Maksimchuk at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to accept the minutes, motion carried.  Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Police, DPW and Zoning Reports on file.

Discussion about purchasing two more speed limit signs, will discuss at DDA meeting next week.  Quote is $6,199.00.

Discussed Wheeler Trucking request to run water line to M-13, meeting was held and will meet again in November.  Must be feasible for the Village to consider.

Street Commissioner discussed a drainage issue on a block of Northwood Street.  Commissioner did talk to homeowner.  The Village is not responsible to give Homeowner somewhere to drain sump pump although it is illegal to drain it in our Sanitary Sewer.

DDA and Village will meet at a joint meeting hopefully in June, date is to be determined.  DDA has purchased Barricades for the Village at a cost of $1,460.61.  Discussed other projects DDA would like to do.

Motion by Birchmeier, support by Olk to hire Schnell’s to water hanging baskets, support withdrawn by Olk, motion withdrawn by Birchmeier, tabled until Schnell’s can bring us a quote.

Motion by Olk, Support by Birchmeier to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
