Village October 2018 Minutes

October 10, 2018

Present: K. Maksimchuk, P. Olk, Seamon, Burns, Gauthier, Tate
Absent: J. Maksimchuk, L. Olk, A. Wolford

Meeting called to order by Mayor Jerry Burns at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion by P. Olk, support by Seamon to accept the minutes, motion carried.

Motion by P. Olk, support by Seamon to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Public Comments – Cheryl and Troy Pope discussed Ordinance pertaining to air quality.

Schnell’s Service’s is again hosting a Pumpkin Roll on November 4 with proceeds going to Buddy Miller and Nick Severn.

Police, DPW and Zoning Reports on file.

Motion by Burns, support by P. Olk to accept the contract with the school for $14,000 per year with DDA matching that amount, discussion, roll call vote, Seamon no, rest yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Burns, support by P. Olk to adopt Ordinance #121 to regulate Air Quality within the Village, discussion, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Bids discussed for Street work. Motion by Seamon, to recommend McKearney Asphalt do the street work as proposed, Seamon withdrew his motion.

Attorney discussed inventory list from burned out property and will contact Bob Delaney and Fitzgerald.

Discussed letter regarding tree on Village easement and we are in compliance with our Ordinance and will clean dead branches out once leaves fall.

Motion by Seamon, support by P. Olk, to accept the bid specs for Option #2 street work with McKearney Asphalt and Sealing, discussion, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by P. Olk, support by Gauthier to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas.
