Village September 2016 Minutes
September 14, 2016
Present: Gauthier, Beauchamp, Burns, Poletti, Bob Delaney, Tate, Olk
Absent: Maksimchuk’s
Meeting called to called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Olk, support by Beauchamp to accept the minutes, motion carried.
Motion by Olk, support by Gauthier to accept the Treasurer’s Report, motion carried.
Public Comments – George Thiel family thanked us for naming bridge after him.
Motion by Wolford, support by Olk to allow the Thiel family to pay and install a stand-alone sign on bridge, “George Thiel” Bridge. Will check with DPW regulations and Miss Dig before installing, motion carried.
Brian Ridley was present to discuss his car wash/laundromat and his water bill. Will meet with Water Commissioner Olk and Zoning, Bob Delaney.
Mike Moore was present to ask for possible purchase of some of the Flats the Village owns.
Mark Dexter was present to discuss some damage done to a field during SAW grant testing. Motion by Wolford, support by Olk to pay $100.00 to farmer to replace seed, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Treasurer informed council, monies from lots sold in subdivision was invested and put into a restricted account for roads in subdivision.
Motion by Burns, support by Gauthier, to appoint Trustees, Gauthier and Wolford to a committee to review and look at fee schedule for zoning services, motion carried.
Police and DPW Reports on File.
Motion by Beauchamp, support by Olk to accept the bid from Krupp Heating and Cooling for air conditioning for Police Department, $2,075.00 installed. (Monies used will be from sale of equipment obtained through Federal program) Roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Olk, support by Gauthier to form a committee with Seamon and Maksimchuk to get with DPW in regards to what is needed for Demolition bids, motion carried.
Tabled until next meeting, Water request from Adam Johnson.
Motion by Beauchamp, support by Olk, to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
